Sehat Card Plus Tehreek-i-Insaf’s ‘trump card’ is a micro health insurance program that is made for all citizens of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. This card works the same as the sehat sahulat card introduced in Punjab for the needy and the poor people. sehat sahulat card was introduced in Punjab and people from poor and needy families. But the Sehat Card Plus is for all citizens in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. This initiative was launched by the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and this is one of the flagship programs.
Sehat Card Plus Tehreek-i-Insaf’s ‘trump card’ is being implemented through the insurance company that was selected through the national competitive bidding. The basic purpose of this program is to provide healthcare assistance in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for all citizens. Under this program, people will get free treatment or discounts on medical treatments.
You will be surprised to see that about 7.2 million families in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa benefit from this card. There are 7.2 million families that are registered under this program and getting medical treatment free of cost from their selective hospitals. All that data from the NADRA People living in the KP are verified through the NADRA.
The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa introduced that under this program all families will get free of cost medical treatment the limit of the card is about 1.0 million for each family per year. Every family will get medical treatment bout 1 million rupees per year and will pay nothing in return. Here I want to tell you that the annual cost of this program is about 18 billion and all that cost will be beared by the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa which provides free of cost medical services for all citizens.
