  • ATM Withdrawal: Insert your card into any ATM, enter your PIN, and withdraw the amount.
  • POS Withdrawal: Visit any shop/store with a POS (Point of Sale) machine. Swipe your card and enter the amount to be withdrawn. You will receive cash from the shopkeeper.
  • Bank Branch: Visit the bank branch mentioned on your card. Fill out a withdrawal slip, and present your card and CNIC to receive the cash.
  • The monthly stipend of Rs. 9,000 is transferred to beneficiaries’ cards at the start of each month. The amount can be withdrawn in full or partially at the convenience of the beneficiary.

In a recent development, the Punjab government has increased the monthly allowance under the Bahimat Senior Citizens Scheme from Rs. 2,000 to Rs. 9,000 with effect from 2024. It was decided to provide comprehensive assistance to disadvantaged senior citizens in the face of rising prices.

According to Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi, the Bahimat Buzurg scheme is the first initiative by any provincial government to provide dedicated financial assistance to senior citizens. The government has allocated a budget of Rs. 24 billion for this program for FY 2023-24.

In another update, the Punjab Social Security Board has launched a special registration process for the Bahimat Senior Citizens Program. These drives are being conducted every Saturday at designated registration centres to facilitate the elderly and disabled citizens.
